Software Developer (m/f)

Design, development, and administration of Windows and Linux software projects in the fields of gateway security. Development of algorithms increasing the performance of virus scanner and the SPAMfilter solutions.

Key Tasks:

• Developing C+++ (VS 2005, gcc) applications
• Designing and implementing code modules to improve the performance of our antivirus and anti-spam filters
• Identifying false positives and updating relevant information on our system
• Assuring the quality of our databases and their contents
• Contributing to our list of requirements to tool/program development
• Writing scripts for testing, querying, and administering our databases using scripting languages

Prerequisites:

• Excellent skills in C++, VS2005, and gcc programming
• Basic knowledge of other programming and scripting languages (e.g. C#, Perl)
• Familiarity with the TCP/IP family of network protocols (in particular, SMTP, HTTP, POP3)
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems (Active Directory, Windows security infrastructure, Windows networks)
• Good command of the English language
• Self-motivation and adaptability in acquiring new skills
• Good team player
• Our corporate language is German. Therefore, adequate command of the German language is a prerequisite.

Desirable Skills:

• Database (SQL) skills
• x86/x64 Assembler skills
• Administrator knowledge on Linux and Windows
• Web programming
